The IRD’s upcoming review of the way it interacts with small businesses is a direct result of IRD taking notice of the success of online payroll and accounting systems.

IRD want to improve the tax system and make it more certain and speedy for businesses by increasing the use of electronic services by taxpayers when they are interacting with Inland Revenue.

The success of SmartPayroll has proven the IRD is on the right track with more and more businesses wanting an online intermediary system to manage their payroll.

Chameleon Events recently organised the film premiere to Peter Jacksons new film, The Lovely Bones in Wellington. During this period we had to produce a large diverse team that were a mix of contractors and employees through the duration of the event to ensure that it was a success. Due to such a busy period Chameleon was under pressure due to the short hire of many new staff and  SmartPayroll was the solution. We were very impressed, as the payroll was processed in under a one week from the completion of the event at a very low cost to us, and minimal involvement from our end was needed. We are now contracting SmartPayroll to process the pay for all of our companies, and we fully recommend other companies should do the same.
