SmartPayroll’s Xerocon success

Xerocon – not your normal mundane conference, but a vibrant, fresh take on what is leading business and innovation in the accounting and payroll worlds.  So, naturally we had to get involved.

Well actually SmartPayroll were also lucky enough to be runner up in the Xero Add-On Partner of the Year award.  Although we didn’t take home the winners title we were still left gleaming from ear to ear to see one of our customers, Dave Jessep’s accounting practice DCJA, take out the top honour of Accounting Partner of the Year.

Dave and his business were left devastated after the Christchurch earthquakes and attributes his ability to get back up and running within days to Cloud solutions like that of SmartPayroll.

Waitangi Day Celebrations

With some nice weather finally descending upon us this past Monday, Waitangi Day was one to get out and experience the best this country has to offer.

This country leads the way in so many areas that we thought they deserved to be recognised.  And, we would like to add payroll to the list.  It might not sound like the most obviously Kiwi thing, but we happen to like it quite a lot.  (Although, we may be biased). 

With our country’s economy resting on a lot of small and medium sized businesses, seamless payroll is just one cog in the wheel that keeps everything ticking over nicely.  It’s simple and it’s effortless, just like some other brilliant Kiwi inventions.

This new partnership will make managing the pay cycle for your firm even easier.

Free Payroll Courses – Feb & March

After our successful courses last year, we are going around the country again offering accountants and small business owners the chance to become fully engaged with their payroll systems and obligations.

In the next few months we will be in the main cities sharing our knowledge and not expecting a cent in return.  Accountants are welcome to bring clients along if they are struggling with the ins and outs of payroll, and can earn CPD hours themselves as well.

We will be open on all anniversary weekend stat days.

For absolute ease, you can process your payroll on the public holiday Monday if that is what you normally do.  The banks are open as well so it will be all on schedule.

From devastating lows like the earthquakes to magnificent highs like the Rugby World Cup win, it’s fair to say 2011 was definitely a year to be remembered.

We’re thinking 2012 will shape up to be one of the best yet, especially for us at SmartPayroll.  Just to start with, we’re looking to exceed last years whopping figure of nearly 2000 new companies that joined us in the cloud.
