From July we’ll be rolling out some exciting new updates to our online payroll system. SmartPayroll is about offering the absolute best payroll solution for Kiwis so these updates mean a friendlier looking interface and easier user experience.  Don’t worry though; everything will pretty much be in the same place so you won’t have any trouble processing your payroll.

We aren’t that old at all, but we thought it was time to give SmartPayroll a bit of a lift.  

You’ll still get all the great benefits you’ve come to expect and rely on but it will look a lot fancier and the changes will make it easier for you to use. 

Don’t get too excited, it’s not quite ready yet!  You will start to see some changes from July onwards.  But we will be doing it a bit at a time so it won’t be completely overwhelming. 

Everything is pretty much in the same place so you shouldn’t have any trouble finding your way around.  Although if you do, we’re only a phone call away as always. 

We are very excited and hope you will be too.  So, keep a look out for more updates coming soon.

With snow starting to fall around the country, and winter definitely starting to hit, don’t get caught out.  Instead, stay inside and run your payroll from anywhere.

You’ll be better off staying warm and opening up the laptop than venturing on the icy roads trying to get into work.  And because we are in the cloud, you can do exactly that.

After venturing down to Christchurch last week, yesterday we were in Auckland for Accountants Republic 2013.  

With over 200 accountants in attendance, we hope everyone who went thoroughly enjoyed themselves and learnt a lot.  We certainly did! A big thank you has to go out again to Viv and her team who organised it all as their speaker list especially was excellent. 

We look forward to doing it all over again next year

This week may seem like an ordinary working week but there are a few things to celebrate and remember.

Firstly, after hitting the $3 billion mark in July last year, we are now inching ever closer to celebrating $4 billion in payroll processed through SmartPayroll.  It’s a great achievement not only for us, but for our customers who have made this possible.

So thank you to everyone who has ever used SmartPayroll.  And, look out for the countdown on the homepage, it shouldn’t be too long now.

And, the next thing this week to remember is of course Anzac Day on Thursday.  Yes, this is a holiday but it’s a time to remember those who fought and lost their lives.  The banks will be shut of course, so get any payments scheduled on a different day if needs be.
